Ahmad Aliff is an experienced performer who brings music to life at weddings, corporate events, private functions, and concerts. His versatility spans from elegant solo violin to dynamic ensembles and full orchestral performances, each tailored to create the perfect atmosphere for the occasion. Over the years, he has performed for distinguished clients and diverse audiences, delivering music that is both memorable and refined. Whether enhancing an event with timeless classical pieces, reimagined contemporary hits, or a customised blend of both, Aliff approaches every performance with professionalism, artistry, and passion. His goal is simple: to elevate every event with music that leaves a lasting impression.

Education

Aliff began his violin journey under the guidance of Dato’ Woon Wen Kin, Director of the Penang Symphony Orchestra. During his university years, he studied with Datuk Mustafa Fuzer Nawi, then Music Director of the National Symphony Orchestra of Malaysia, and went on to earn the Vice Chancellor’s Award and Best Student in Music Performance from Universiti Teknologi MARA, Shah Alam.

Following his degree, he studied intensively with Russian violinist Evgeny Kaplan and participated in masterclasses with renowned musicians such as David Kim, Orsolya Korscolan, Barnabás Kelemen, Berlin Baroque, Aubegg Trio, and Apple Hill String Quartet. Though trained entirely in Malaysia, his playing carries a distinctly Western refinement and character.

Performance History

Aliff’s early career was shaped by his active involvement with the Penang Symphony Orchestra and later his selection to the Malaysian Philharmonic Youth Orchestra. At university, he served as concertmaster and quickly became recognised for his flair, individuality, and leadership. His talent soon led to invitations as a guest violinist with the National Symphony Orchestra of Malaysia and RTM Orchestra, establishing his reputation as one of Malaysia’s sought-after violinists.

Between 2013–2015, he worked full-time with the RTM Orchestra before embarking on a new chapter, founding a music business with his wife, Rini. Together, they have performed extensively for private, corporate, and government clients, while also producing 14 self-financed public concerts.

Versatile across both classical and modern genres, Aliff is equally at home as a soloist, concertmaster, ensemble player, or modern band violinist. His work spans prestigious concerts, television broadcasts, and commercial recordings, affirming his position as a dynamic and professional presence in Malaysia’s music scene.
