About Us

Cerfonica (formerly known as Cerita Sinfonica) was established in 2015 as a platform for musicians from diverse backgrounds to rehearse, perform, and appreciate orchestra music. Guided by the emerging conducting ace, Ahmad Aliff, the orchestra strives to present quality repertoire with high standards of performance to the public. The orchestra aspires to be the foremost professional ensemble in the country.

To date, Cerfonica has performed in several public concerts, and also received invitations by dignitaries, governmental agencies, and multinational corporations. The orchestra has worked with notable Malaysian artists such as Siti Nurhaliza, Jaclyn Victor, and Misha Omar.

Cerfonica aims to promote and educate the public about orchestral music. It is hoped that by making the genre more accessible to the larger market, more people will realise the value of an orchestra to the society. The orchestra music scene can only grow when there is enough public awareness and continuous support.

Our Plight

The golden age of music was fuelled by philanthropy. The idea is that we are not selling tickets to a performance, rather it is the opportunity to be a patron of an orchestra at a reasonable cost. We want our concert attendees to feel like they are connoisseurs, cultured people with exquisite musical taste. Unlike typical consumers, they attend concerts because they subscribe to a “higher purpose”.

Your support will allow musicians to keep doing what they do. No amount is too small. Donations can be made to:
